What did you do today?

It is June the 4th today and the 4th of the month is the best day of the month.

Also, it's June and that means we're one month closer to our trip to NYC.

This is what I did today...

I ate eggs for breakfast and listened to some rad tunes like deerhunter and jenny and johnny.

I pestered the boyfy into showing me how to use photoshop and use his fancy schmancy camera.

I went for a lovely stroll down to our local shops and had a delicious saturday morning coffee.

I did housework (yuck).

I watched some of the kennedys.

Home sweet home

I am home. And boy does it feel nice. I've been in new Zealand for the last week for work and have been yearning for home. It's so lonely and hard being on your lonesome, no cuddles, no end of day debrief in bed, no tag-team showers, no hello smooches.

So tonight, I've been making up for lost time. Snuggles on the couch, hot milos and lots of giggles sharing our piddly little shower (not being porno, it was all good CLEAN fun. I'll break it down for you - there's was lots of laughing about cellulite.)

I love our little house and I love coming home to my little life.

We've been planning our weekend adventures tonight and since the sun has decided to come back out in Sydney, a little trip on the manly ferry is in order.

hey ya

what's happening?

me? i'm just chilling out on the couch, glass of wine in hand, masterchef on the telly, thai takeaway deliciously filling my belly, waiting for my friday night load of washing to finish.

boring? some might say so, i like to think of it as content. Content that I'm in a beautiful relationship, content that i'm happy (well... as happy as you can be) at work, content that there's not too much in life to worry about.

Sometimes I get really caught up in life and bills and job and saving and wah poor me and everything else not-so-lovely. It's nice in moment like this, relaxing and smiling, that I remember to take a breath and think "you know what? things are ok."

As I type, there's a cranky old american conservative man on ABC banging on about how invalid, horrible and inaccurate this new series is.

It airs on ABC on Sunday night 8.30pm. Anything that's a bit controversial and a bit fascinating, count me in!

totally essential

i stumbled across something i think i (read: my bank account) might regret this morning after my gorgeous bay walk.

not even kidding - this place is incredible. i'm of course talking about the essential ingredient in rozelle. mother fudging incredible.

it has everything you could ever even dream of. kitchen aids in every shade, ingredients you can not find ANYWHERE and every single piece of kitchen gadgetry you can imagine.

not only that though - it also does cooking classes AND it has its own cafe. with delightful coffee. What more could a food obsessed girl ask for??!

it's a 5 minute drive from my house. uh oh.
